S.I.T.A. Medium Pressure (SMP) UV system emits an UV-C irradiation between 200 and 600 nm. These waves  length cause an alteration of some chemical links present among nucleotides so that the information contained and conveyed by DNA of every organism present in the water change. These alterations lead to the cellular death and so to the bacteriological elimination.

Given the greater power emitted by the lamps, Sita Media Pressure UV systems can treat large water flows while maintaining small dimensions and with a modest number of lamps.

Thanks to the powerful medium pressure UV lamps with polychromatic emission (180-600 nm) the SMP systems are able to break chemical bonds and therefore have a good reduction in water of unwanted chemicals.

These UV systems therefore find interesting applications in POOLS as they reduce the high concentration of combined chlorine, the main cause of irritation and unpleasant odors; they can also be conveniently applied in aqueducts and as a post-treatment of waste water.

Entirely built in 316L stainless steel, these very compact systems can be installed both vertically and horizontally. To facilitate maintenance operations, the system can be opened on one side.
