SPECTRUM’s portfolio includes resins for softening, heavy metal removal, deionisation and exhaustion indicating resin.
All resins are compatible with both the Pressure Vessels and Empty Cartridge Shells, so choosing the right media for your requirements becomes even easier. From the most popular general-purpose deionising resin (SRDI) to specially selected granular carbon these medias provide an economic inline solution to water treatment.
Benefits
Spectrum SPHM resin is typically used in non-regenerable cartridges to reduce levels of metals such as zinc, lead, and chromium. With the ability to reduce hardness without exchanging sodium, SRHM is ideal for use in smaller pressure vessels in Calcium Treatment Units (CTUs).
Spectrum SRSO resin offers several advantages, including high bead integrity, excellent chemical and physical stability, and very low extractable content. These properties make it ideal for both general and sensitive/critical water softening applications.
Spectrum PRDI resin can be used to produce ultra-pure water with low conductivity / high resistivity (18.3
MΩ). This water, almost in its purest form can be used for radiation wastewater treatment, manufacture of pharmaceutical products, semiconductors and condensate polishing.
Producing water with little to no dissolved contamination, Spectrum SRDI resin is employed as the final polishing stage in water treatment systems. Used either in cartridge form for low volume demand such as counter top autoclaves, or in larger vessels suitable for glass washing,
pharmaceutical, printed circuit board and other critical applications.
PRISM Core MRDI is capable of producing high-purity water with low conductivity values, suitable for applications where typically a water quality of 0.1 micro Siemens/cm is required. This high quality mixed-bed resin consists of a strong-acid cation and strong base anion mixture for creating pure deionised water. Resin life is maximised when used as a post-polisher after a reverse osmosis system or deionisation plant, and is suitable for use in large ion-exchange units.

Types
- SRHM Heavy Metal Removal - this resin targets elements known as Heavy Metals such as lead, zinc, mercury, copper and chromium and removes them from the water, exchanging these ions for hydrogen.
- SRSO Softening Resin - bed of resin that reduces hardness by replacing calcium and magnesium ions with sodium ions in point-of-use applications.
- PRDI - this resin can produce ultra-pure water with low conductivity / high resistivity.
- SRDI Deionising Resin - mixed bed of cation and anion resins attract all positive and negative ions to the beads and exchange for hydrogen and hydroxide ions, creating pure deionsed water.
