SPECTRUM FibreOnyx Filter
The Latest Technology in Carbon Filtration
One carbon range to out perform and replace all current carbon formulas. First there was granular activated carbon (GAC) then powder activated carbon (PAC) in moulded then extruded formats with higher surface areas; then fibres were used to reduce pressure drops and improve flows. New FibreOnyx medias have advanced these fibres to target specific contaminants with improved efficiency and greater dirt holding capacity, with the increased life of FibreOnyx an antimicrobial agent is added to the range as standard.
Providing four times higher lead removal than the industry standard, the SPECTRUM FibreOnyx Lead Reduction Carbon SFBC cartridge is the perfect solution for soft water areas or borehole feeds with lead piping. Lead can cause extensive health problems in consumers, making removal from water applications paramount. The SFBC-PB offers equivalent chlorine removal levels to the SFBC. We recommend installing a 5 micron pre-filtration stage to ensure the best performance of the SFBC, maximise longevity and deliver unbeatable lead removal time and time again.
Typical Applications
• Point of use drinking water from borehole feed
• Drinking water in aged pipework and closed loop systems
• Post filtration layer fused into the media eliminates fine release into the effluent stream after flushing
• 5µm pre-filtration recommended to maximise capacity for chlorine and lead reduction
• NSF53 certified media for reduction of Giardia cysts.
