First there was granular activated carbon (GAC) then powder activated carbon (PAC) in moulded then extruded formats with higher surface areas; then fibres were used to reduce pressure drops and improve flows. New FibreOnyx medias have advanced these fibres to target specific contaminants with improved efficiency and greater dirt holding capacity, with the increased life of FibreOnyx an antimicrobial agent is added to the range as standard.

Designed to provide an economic solution chlorine, taste and odour (CTO) refinement. Re-innovation of a modern media furnishes this build with all the benefits of activated carbon and the minimum pressure drop commonly associated with a carbon block, while promoting extended CTO reduction. Equipped with an antimicrobial agent to prevent premature blocking in order to maximise full chlorine capacity utilization, this cartridge is truly deserving of the ‘economic’ name. Perfect for domestic water supplies and incoming water.
