The Atlas LED 3/8″ – 7L/min is ithe deal equipment for the elimination of germs and microorganisms from water supplied by UV-C radiation.
It works by:
- Passing water through a chamber containing UV-C LEDs.
- The UV light damages the DNA/RNA of microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, and protozoa, preventing them from reproducing and causing disease.
- Treating water without adding chemicals or changing the taste or smell.
A 7 L/min unit is typically suitable for:
- A single tap or drinking water outlet.
- Small homes, caravans, boats, or cabins.
- Point-of-use water treatment systems.
It’s important to note that a UV steriliser:
- Kills or inactivates microorganisms, but
- Does not remove dirt, sediment, heavy metals, chemicals, or improve cloudy water. If the water isn’t already clear, it’s usually installed after a sediment filter.
