Catalyzes oxidation: Birm is a granular filtration media that helps dissolved iron and manganese in water oxidize into solid particles.

Filters out the solids: Once oxidized, the iron/manganese particles become trapped in the filter bed.

Improves water quality: This reduces staining, metallic taste, and discoloration in water.
